Big Bang's Seungri to make his big screen debut in Japan!

Big Bang's Seungri will be making an appearance in a Japanese movie for the first time!

It was reported that Seungri joined the filming of upcoming Japanese film 'High & Low The Movie' back in January, with the film in works to be ready for premiere by July. His role in the film will consist of a Korean gang leader's son. It was also revealed that the cast and crew was greatly impressed by Seungri's smooth performance and fluent Japanese. 

The last time Seungri appeared in a movie was in 'Nineteen' with fellow Big Bang member T.O.P. Now we get to see how much the maknae's acting has improved!

Super Junior's Kangin to star alongside actress Han Bo Reum in new thriller web drama

Super Junior's Kangin will be making his acting comeback for the 1st time in 3 years! 

The idol has been cast alongside actress Han Bo Reum in upcoming web drama 'Bells', a romantic thriller telling the story of a psychiatric residency doctor, a woman aspiring to become a scenario writer, and her mysterious sister. 

The cast of 'Bells' is set to begin filming at the end of April, aiming for the  web drama's 1st airing to begin in July! 

Kim Ji Won and Jin Goo originally had a bed scene for 'Descendants of the Sun'?

The director of photography for drama 'Descendants of the Sun,' which finished last week, appeared on KBS mobile's 'Got TV' on April 18 and revealed a surprising behind story.

The director, Kim Shi Hyung, said, "The early part of the drama had the line, 'Then we'll sleep together,' in a flashback scene for the Jingoo x Kim Ji Won couple.  It wasn't a very racy bed scene, but during the editing, both the director and writer decided that taking out the bed scene would make the couple appear more refreshing, so it was edited out."

Gong Yoo in talks to star in 'Descendants of the Sun' writer's next drama!

Screenwriter Kim Eun Sook has created a legendary K-drama to last the test of time. She's not only known for her recent hit piece 'Descendants of the Sun', however, she's also the genius behind numerous other great dramas, such as 'Lovers in Paris', 'Secret Garden', 'A Gentleman's Dignity', 'The Heirs', and more. 

Following the finale of 'Descendants of the Sun', viewers are curious about Kim Eun Sook's next drama, and the actors and actresses she may recruit. On April 15, various media outlets reported that Kim Eun Sook has met up with a star for the leading role of her next project and has made an offer to him.

And the next possible face of another hallyu sensation is...?

Actor Gong Yoo! His label Forest Entertainment announced, "It is true that he was offered the role and is positively looking into it." Kim Eun Sook's next drama is scheduled to air on tvN in November. 

CNBLUE's Yonghwa and Jonghyun become two-day uncles on 'Superman is Back'!

CNBLUE's Yonghwa and Jonghyun will be showing up as two-day uncles on KBS' 'Superman is Back'!

For the upcoming April 17th show, the daddies of 'Superman is Back' will be taking a rest, while uncles take over babysitting for 48 hours. Yonghwa and Jonghyun will both be looking after little baby Rohee, Ki Tae Young and Eugene's adorable daughter.  

As you can see in the still cuts below, the temporary lovely family look like they had a really good time going out and about. Rohee also seems quite satisfied between the two idol stars, and who can blame her!

Park Seo Joon injured and rushed to hospital during 'Hwarang' filming

Actor Park Seo Joon has injured his neck during shooting for the upcoming KBS drama 'Hwarang'. 

On April 15, Park Seo Joon, who was practicing and shooting an action scene, was rushed to Asan Medical Center following a neck injury. 

Key East Entertainment announced, "He hurt his neck while practicing an action scene. More details will be known after the exam results come out, but fortunately, it does not seem to be a severe injury. The shooting can continue after a break through the weekend." 

This is not the first time a cast member of 'Hwarang' suffered an injury. Go Ara's hand was bitten by a horse during practice. Fans are hoping for a  fast recovery for both Park Seo Joon and Go Ara!

'New Journey to the West 2' co-stars poke fun at Ahn Jae Hyun about his recent marriage news

At the press conference for tvN's upcoming 'New Journey to the West 2', neither the reporters nor the co-stars dared pass up the opportunity to badger Ahn Jae Hyun about his marriage news with Goo Hye Sun. 

Co-star Kang Ho Dong began poking fun at the topic during the press conference with, "Doesn't Ahn Jae Hyun have good news? Let's talk about it more in detail later." 

At that, co-star Lee Soo Geun also added, "He says they've never fought over anything before." 

When actually asked how he felt about his upcoming marriage, Ahn Jae Hyun answered, "I'm so happy, I ask myself if this is what heaven is like. I was offered an opportunity to appear on 'New Journey to the West 2' right after we decided to get married, so I see it as a double celebration." 

Congratulations to the Ahn Jae Hyun-Goo Hye Sun couple again! tvN's 'New Journey to the West 2' will premiere online on April 19 and on television broadcast beginning April 22. 

Song Joong Ki shares thoughts on his big hit drama 'Descendants of the Sun'

On April 14, the drama 'Descendants of the Sun', which brought us both tears and joy, has come to an end. Following the final episode, Song Joong Ki shared thoughts on the hit drama through Blossom Entertainment.

Song Joong Ki said, "Hello, this is Song Joong Ki. Thank you so much for the great love for 'Descendants of the Sun'. This drama also means a lot to me. It was the first one I filmed after my return from the military, and the pre-shooting allowed me to happily work in a new environment with great cast and crew. 'Yoo Si Jin' is a character who is playful, yet also serious and greatly determined.. I was worried a lot about my capabilities in portraying these qualities, and it took great time and effort to create the drama. But it's already ending so in a way I am a bit sad. To those viewers who gave great love for 'Descendants of the Sun', as well as the staff and actors, once again, thank you so much."

The hit drama might be the biggest turning point in Song Joong Ki's career. 'Descendants of the Sun' is now over, but it's only the beginning to Song Joong Ki's glorious future.

Park Bo Gum's partner in drama 'Moonlight Drawn by Clouds' confirmed to be...

Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung are partnering up for the upcoming KBS2 drama 'Moonlight Drawn by Clouds'!

According to the drama producers, Kim Yoo Jung is confirmed to play the female leading role of 'Hong Laon', and she is going to be creating romance with Park Bo Gum or king 'Lee Young'.

In the drama, 'Hong Laon' leaves her female identity and becomes a eunuch. The story depicts the growing friendship and love between her and King 'Lee Young'. KBS shared a comment about the actress as they said, "Hong Laon is a character who is lazy, sly, and also lovely. We have no doubt about our decision on the female lead because Kim Yoo Jung has proven her talent and is expected to well portray Laon's charms."

SHINee's Onew comments on being part of hit drama 'Descendants of the Sun'

SHINee's Onew showed his appreciation and affection for 'Descendants of the Sun'.

Park Shin Hye to make a cameo appearance in Yuri and Kim Young Kwang's web drama?

According to a representative of upcoming web drama 'Gogh, The Starry Night', actress Park Shin Hye has reportedly wrapped up filming for her cameo appearance. Park Shin Hye's cameo was evidently the result of her connection to production director Jo Soo Won, who is currently heading up production for 'Gogh, The Starry Night', and previously worked with Park Shin Hye in drama 'Pinocchio'. 

'Gogh, The Starry Night' starring Yuri and Kim Young Kwang, is set to air some time in June!

'Running Man' caught up in controversy over inappropriate language?

A recent airing of 'Running Man' used a term that is apparently inappropriate and degrading towards women; however, many netizens are unconvinced that the word is something to get your underwear all up in a bunch about. 

The term, 'buwak,' is slang that is used to target women in a derogatory manner, particularly gold-diggers. This term was used as a part of a caption for 'Running Man's April 10 episode. Though usage of the word was made into something of a controversy in the media, levelheaded netizens were far from convinced that the 'Running Man' crew did anything out of line or degraded women in any way, shape, or form. 

The comments read, "I'm hearing buwak for the first time. Hm," "Never heard it before," "What the hell are they talking about lolololololol," "They really must have nothing to write about," "?How is this degrading women..?" "???," and, "I've heard it for the first time. I think it's weirder that they're making up a weird word like this." 

EXID's Hani cries after eating what food?

EXID's Hani started crying after eating a certain food on the April 9th episode of 'Baek Jong Won's Top 3 Chefs'.

The show featured a 'neighborhood bakery' special, and Hani as well as Kim Joon Hyun got to eat some vegetable croquettes. They commented, "You have to be able to eat the croquette in one bite." Kim Joon Hyun said it was a very nostalgic taste, and Hani took a bite for herself when she started crying.

Hani commented, "I know this. This is what my mom, me, and my dongseng ate when my family was going through a difficult time financially."

After School's Nana to make official K-drama debut!

After School's Nana is taking on her first official role in a drama!

On April 8, a drama associate announced, "Nana is going to appear in the new tvN drama 'Good Wife'." The leggy After School member is set to play actress Jun Do Yeon's secretary. This is her first official acting role, and it's reported she was selected through a competitive audition process.

Along with Nana, Jun Do Yeon, Yoo Ji Tae, Kim Seo Hyung, and Yoon Kye Sang have been confirmed to join this remake version of the American drama. Nana previously made cameos in the films 'White' and 'Fashion King', took on a supporting role in 'Go Lala Go 2', and starred in the Chinese series 'Love Weaves Through A Millennium'.

Song Hye Kyo says this is the best thing about shooting 'Descendants of the Sun'

Song Hye Kyo says that being able to watch her own drama is the best thing about 'Descendants of the Sun'. 

This is not the first time Song Hye Kyo has played a leading role in a hit drama, and it's also not the first time she has worked with handsome co-stars. However, it is the first time ever she has completed a drama in pre-shooting. 

Most Korean dramas are filmed while being aired. Sometimes drama cast and crew are hurriedly shooting for an episode on its airing day. Most actors of trending dramas make comments, such as "I don't have time to feel the popularity", "I am at the drama set everyday so I don't really know the reactions of viewers", etc. 

Fortunately, Song Hye Kyo is able to enjoy all the love and attention of 'Descendants of the Sun' because she was done shooting for it a while back. It's said that she also finds the drama very entertaining.

Dohee to test chemistry with Chansung in 'Ms. Temper and Nam Jung Gi'

Actress Dohee will be making a surprise cameo appearance in the JTBC drama 'Ms. Temper and Nam Jung Gi'!

On April 7, the drama released pictures of the cute Dohee with her long hair in an apple-style while she interacts with Chansung.  The pictures show her eating ice cream while walking on the streets to encounter Chansung who has the same "unemployed" style as her going on.

She will be playing Emily, who lives in the same apartment as Nam Jung Gi's family.  The production crew said, "We plan to to have multiple scenes of Chansung and Dohee's comical acting in 'Ms. Temper and Nam Jung Gi.'  Please look forward to Dohee's activities."

Ryu Joon Yeol and Hwang Jung Eum enjoy the cherry blossoms together for 'Lucky Romance'

Hwang Jung Eum and Ryu Joon Yeol were seen enjoying the slow spring breeze and the splendid cherry blossoms together! Were they on a date? Don't get too excited because it was not a date--the two were seen filming for new MBC drama 'Lucky Romance.' 

Though the pictures are somewhat bad quality, you can still make out the two lovebirds enjoying what looks to be a sweet, chaste romance. I gotta say, Hwang Jung Eum's retro style is on point and so is her chic pixie cut. Of course, Ryu Joon Yeol isn't looking half so bad himself!

After the initial table read which took place on April 6, the two actors will enter shooting for the drama with the other casted actors including Lee Soo Hyuk and Lee Chung Ah.

'Descendants of the Sun' to be made into a Chinese series

According to the creators of 'Descendants of the Sun', the hit drama will be made into a Chinese version. Along with China, several other countries are looking into remaking the trending drama. However, China is the only country to be officially confirmed to be producing a remake. 

Following the news, viewers grew curious of who will be playing the main characters, especially of Song Joong Ki. Chinese fans have even completed an online vote on possible actors for the role. The results show that actor Hu Ge received the most votes with a total of 1735, while actress Gao Yuanyuan was voted for Song Hye Kyo's role with a total of 1758 votes. 

Expectations for the Chinese remake is tremendously high due to the immense popularity of the drama. However, fans state that no actor can possibly replace the one and only Song Joong Ki. 

Lee Chung Ah confirmed to join new drama 'Lucky Romance'!

Actress Lee Chung Ah is joining the upcoming drama 'Lucky Romance'.

On April 6, C-JeS Entertainment announced, "Lee Chung Ah has been confirmed to join the new MBC drama 'Lucky Romance'. She will play the role of 'Han Sul Hee', who is a cold city girl. We look forward to Lee Chung Ah's change in acting."

It was also revealed that Lee Chung Ah's character is a confident and chic sports agent who manages tennis player Choi Gun Wook (Lee Soo Hyuk). She is also the first love of Ryu Joon Yeol, and will be creating a love triangle with Hwang Jung Eum.

With Lee Chung Ah's confirmation, the main characters of 'Lucky Romance' are now officially set, and the new drama is set to air in May.
