Former BESTie member Hyeyeon to start a new career as a trot singer

Former BESTie member Hyeyeon has revealed her new career as a trot singer.

Earlier on today (October 25th), STAR Ent announced that Hyeyeon has signed a brand new contract with the company, upon leaving her previous agency YNB Entertainment. As a vocalist from her former group BESTie, the female singer has decided that she will start afresh, this time as a trot singer. According to STAR Ent, they recognized Hyeyeon's potentials four years ago, when the girl group member participated in Mnet's music program 'Trot X'.

Alongside Jang Yoon Jung and Hong Jin Young, Hyeyeon is expected to follow suit as the new generation's line-up of talented trot singers. At the earliest, Hyeyeon will announce her comeback as a re-debuting trot singer by the end of October.

Zion.T reveals he's a huge fan of Red Velvet

Zion.T revealed he's a huge fan of Red Velvet as a girl group.

On the October 25th episode of 'Kim Shin Young's Noon Song of Hope', Zion.T opened up about collaborating with Red Velvet's Seulgi for his song "Hello Tutorial". He said, "I'm a majorly big Red Velvet fan."

Zion.T continued, "It's the first time I've ever liked a girl group since I was born. I have a habit of writing songs when a thought comes to mind, so I made songs based on feelings. I thought it would nice to sing together with Seulgi."


Though he's known to be quite tough in the studio, he revealed he was too nervous to be harsh during recording, saying, "To be honest, I was really nervous. I was thinking to myself that I should be less harsh than usual, but I ended up being the same as usual. Seulgi ended up doing multiple times more takes than I did during the 5 hours."

Hyeyeon leaves handwritten letter for fans following news of exit from Gugudan

Hyeyeon has left a handwritten letter for fans following the news of her exit from Gugudan.

On October 25, Jellyfish Entertainment revealed Hyeyeon would be officially leaving the group due to health issues, and she's shared a handwritten letter to fans on Gugudan's fan cafe. Hyeyeon's letter is as follows:

Dear Danjjaks,

Hi, this is Hyeyeon.

It has been some time. I'm sorry for being late [with an update]. As my company has already shared the news, I will no longer be a member of Gugudan, but I will join and be a Danjjak, who will always continue to support Gugudan. I made the decision after thinking long during my hiatus and focusing on both my studies and health.

Thanks to Danjjak, I have been able to focus in my academics, and I am also recovering well. I am grateful for all the memories I have been able to create with Danjjak. I was able to share precious moments with Danjjak by my side, who got to see me grow and gain experience. This will be a time of my life I will never forget and always cherish! I will never forget and always remember all the times spent with Danjjak, who are the most precious to me!

I will continue to focus on both my health and academics, and I'll be completing my activities with Gugudan. I hope to give a proper goodbye. Please continue to cheer on all the unnies of Gugudan as they continue to show a more beautiful side of them. I too will support Gugudan as a Danjjak. New girl group Dream Note is lovely in green for more 'Dreamlike' debut teaser images

Dream Note shared more of the lovely photos for their debut.

The 8-member girl group is finally making their hot debut with the 1st single album 'Dreamlike'. Their very first official music release contains a total of 6 tracks -"dreamin'tro", "Dream Note", "I Think I Like You", "Fresh! Fresh!", "I Think I Like You" (inst), and "Fresh! Fresh!" (inst).

As for the concept, Dream Note went for pure and innocent with a school girl look.

The full release of 'Dreamlike' is coming on November 7. Get excited about Dream Note!

American R&B artist Kehlani tweets in response to MAMAMOO Whee In's message

American R&B artist Kehlani tweeted in response to a message from MAMAMOO's Whee In.

On the August 2nd episode of web variety show 'Celebrity', Whee In named Kehlani as the artist she wants to collaborate with most. The MAMAMOO member expressed, "I hope to go to one of your shows or concerts. I'll always cheer you on, so I hope you continue to release good music," in a video message on the show.

It seems Whee In's fans took it upon themselves to send the message to Kehlani on Twitter, and the American singer responded, " Awww. Thank you, Whee In! It's coming. Hope to meet you soon."

Actress Park Bo Young revealed the identity of her first idol star crush. 

On August 3, Park Bo Young featured as a guest on SBS Power FM's 'Park So Hyun's Love Game', and for her final suggested track, she chose g.o.d's "One Candle". The actress expressed, "g.o.d was the group I was a fan girl of for the first time in my life. At the time, I liked smile angel Son Ho Young."
She continued, "It was in elementary school when I was going through puberty. I thought about my path in life a lot while listening to the song 'Road'. I was only in elementary school too."

Jang Geun Suk's agency warns ban from fanclub & promotion activities as fans keep showing up at star's public service workplace

Actor Jang Geun Suk's agency Tree J Company issued a strict warning toward fans who seem to be visiting Jang Geun Suk's public service workplace incessantly. 

The agency began, "Jang Geun Suk's public service workplace is a location which deals with urgent matters of life and safety. The location practices strict rules preventing normal citizens from entering without permission." 

Tree J Company insisted that continued visits from un-welcomed fans may even lead to consequences for Jang Geun Suk's mandatory public service, and asked "that you please refrain from waiting around on the roads and near the building, hoping to catch a glimpse of him during his clock-in or clock-out hours." 

Finally, the label warned, "We will absolutely catch hose who violate these rules on sight, and we will take measures so that the individual is not only banned from the official fanclub, but also banned from all further promotional activities, audience entries, etc."

BTS enter 'Billboard 200' for the 10th week in a row

BTS are continuing to rank on Billboard.

The boys' 'Love Yourself: Tear' is #61 on 'Billboard 200' this week. This week is the 10th consecutive week that the album has stayed on the charts. The album is also #1 on World Albums, #2 on Independent Albums, #14 on Top Album Sales, and #41 on Canadian Albums.

Not only so, but BTS has ranked #1 on Social 50 for the 85th time, and #4 on Artist 100. Congratulations!

Politician Ha Tae Kyung discusses possible military exemption for BTS + fairness in the exemption policy

Ha Tae Kyung of The Bareun Mirae Party is calling for a change in the military exemption policy.

At The National Defense Commission meeting on July 25, Ha Tae Kyung stated, "There are many requests asking military exemption for BTS, so I've taken a look at the list of national events giving military exemption and noticed there is an issue in the equality."

He continued, "You are given an exemption if you win #1 in violin, piano, and classical music competitions. However, you are not given an exemption for ranking No.1 on the Billboard chart."

Ha Tae Kyung added, "Psy made a world record with YouTube views. The influence he had on the people around the world was tremendous. However, everything that is capable of giving dreams and inspiration to the younger generation has been omitted from the military exemption list." 

"You can find a winner of a ballet competition (on the list) but not a winner of b-boying competitions. There's none for winners of e-sports competitions/gaming which dominate the world. There's also none for film," said Ha Tae Kyung. He emphasized, "There needs to be a reform that suits the level of the younger generation."

To this, military service director Ki Chang Soo stated, "The issues on military exemption is decided in discussion with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism", and added, "It shouldn't be hard if we can gain national agreement (from citizens). We will overlook the issue so it could be met in realistic terms."

Online poll firm PMI asked 1,512 Korean producers aged from their teens to 50 which idol they would pick to be front and center in a new girl group, and the popular vote went to Red Velvet's Irene with 30.7%. 

In 2nd place was AOA's Seolhyun with 20.1%, in 3rd Jeon So Mi with 16.2%, in 4th Black Pink's Jisu with 13.6%, 5th TWICE's Tzuyu with 11%, and in 6th was A Pink's Na Eun with 8.4%.

Fantagio says actress Kang Han Na has been MIA since 4 months ago

Actress Kang Han Na has reportedly cut off all contact with her label Fantagio.

OSEN reported that back on April 11, when Kang Han Na had a scandal with Chinese celebrity Darren Wang, she had spoken through the label saying she was not dating Darren Wang. However, a week later when they were spotted together again, she cut off all contact with Fantagio. Her contract originally lasts until 2020, but allegedly, she sent the label a certification of contents and is currently promoting individually with just her manager. 

In response, Fantagio said, "After we signed our exclusive contract with Kang Han Na in 2013, we have been diligently managing her drama, movie, endorsement, variety, and even Chinese schedules. In March, we received a one-directional notification from her saying she wanted to terminate our contract. We tried to contact her multiple times, but currently, we cannot contact her. She has been active by herself for the past 4 months. We have decided that this clearly breaks our contract, and we have currently submitted a lawsuit. We will continue to follow the lawful course. We are disappointed that we have worried all the fans who love Fantagio and our label artists, and we will work hard to fix this problem. Thank you."

SF9 are the next idol group to take part in the SNS trend, the 'Mannequin Challenge'!

Model-turned-actress Lee Sung Kyung talked about her weight gain for 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo' during an interview with MBC's 'Section TV' the other day.

She plays a weightlifting athlete in the drama, so she said, "I diligently gained weight.  I worked hard to create a healthy image."  According to the production crew, she gained 5 kg (~ 11 lbs)!  

Regarding her co-star Nam Joo Hyuk, she said, "We were so close.  When we were models, we shot a lot of couple pictorials together."

Yoochun expresses his desire to be a witness in trial for false sexual assault accusations

JYJ's Yoochun has applied to be a witness at an upcoming trial. The trial is for the person who allegedly falsely accused the singer of sexually assaulting her. 

According to reports, Yoochun submitted his witness application on November 21 for the upcoming November 24 trial, expressing his desire to testify in court. 

If accepted, Yoochun will be traveling through a separate entrance and hallway away from the press; this is to make sure witnesses are protected when testifying in court. 

The legal battle is between Yoochun and four individuals who accused the singer of sexual assault. They have been charged with false accusations as well as blackmailing. The singer, who was investigated by the police, have been cleared of all charges against him previously.

'Elle' shares a lovely cut of 'Romeo and Juliet's Moon Geun Young and Park Jung Min

'Elle' has dropped a cut of stars Moon Geun Young and Park Jung Min from the play 'Romeo and Juliet' on November 22!

The two look romantic and close, dressed comfortably in autumn attire.  In the interview, Moon Geun Young talked about how this was her first play in six years since 'Closer.' She said, "If I cry in the end, I hope I cry from happiness.  I will encroach on that fear while dreaming of that time and once again work hard."

The play will be on from December 9 to January 15.

Sungjae says he fell for this male co-star's sexiness

During the press conference for tvN's 'Goblin' on November 22, Sungjae talked about working with veteran hotties Lee Dong Wook and Gong Yoo.

"It was perfect," he said about their chemistry together.  "I think you could really look forward to it.  We three men have all of the charms from cute to cool to sexy. Personally, I even fell for Lee Dong Wook's sexiness.  I wish you would look forward to it because there's a lot that would make the female viewers excited."

Super Junior's Heechul showed his ongoing affection for former Wonder Girls member Sohee.

On the November 22nd episode of tvN's 'Taxi', Heechul revealed, "Since I have intense double eyelids, I like women with no double eyelids," and mentioned Sohee as his ideal type. Fans know that Heechul has been naming Sohee for years as his ideal type, and it seems he still hasn't changed his mind.

He continued, "I've never met her outside of work. She's just a symbol of an oasis in the life of entertainment."

When host Lee Young Ja asked him how he'd feel if Sohee was dating fellow guest Min Kyung Hoon, Heechul was speechless, making everyone laugh.

Zico, Crush, and DEAN to collaborate on '2016 MAMA' stage

Block B's Zico, Crush, and DEAN are preparing a special performance for the '2016 Mnet Asian Music Award'.

Zico recently revealed he has a collaboration in store with Crush and DEAN called "Bermuda Triangle", and reports say they're working on a special performance for the awards show as well. "Bermuda Triangle" will be released on November 28, while the '2016 MAMA' is being held in Hong Kong on December 2.

Kang Dong Won talks about Kim Woo Bin's touchiness

Aaaand so was born millions of new fan fiction.

On the recent airing of 'Entertainment Relay,' co-stars of movie 'Master,' Lee Byung Hun, Kang Dong Won, and Kim Woo Bin, sat down for an interview.  

Kim Woo Bin was the youngest of the three and said, "I felt a lot of burden on set.  I thought to myself that I was second from the bottom out of the genius actors, so thought only I had to do well when filming."

The MC asked if he was the type to have aegyo when with veteran actors. Kim Woo Bins aid, "I don't have aegyo, but I like skinship."

Kang Dong Won concurred with, "Kim Woo Bin is the affectionate style.  He touches us often," making everyone laugh.

B1A4 reported to be making a comeback before the end of 2016!

According to TV Report's exclusive report, B1A4 is making a comeback!

The last time B1A4 released an album was back in August of 2015 with 'Sweet Girl'. They are planning to return at the end of this year with an album, once again produced by Jinyoung. Furthermore, if the reports are true, their title song will be Jinyoung's self-composed song.
