Jung Jun Ha took part in 'Show Me the Money 5 ('SMTM 5')'s official preliminary try out round this past March 12 at SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium, and fellow 'Infinity Challenge' member HaHa was there cheering on the future rap star.
Jung Jun Ha relayed his anxieties, saying, "I feel really nervous and I was really worried. I think that I should do this seriously so I'll try my best."
HaHa, on the other hand, had complete faith in Jung Jun Ha's rhyme-spitting game. He said, "MC Minji (Jung Jun Ha's stage name) will show off the full force of his power. He must be ruthless and serious about [being on the show]. Fighting."
When asked what it would be like for Jung Jun Ha to be judged by former 'Infinity Challenge' member Gil, HaHa simply answered, "I don't think it matters who the judge is."
The singer also added, "I'm sorry and thankful [about forcing Jung Jun Ha on 'SMTM 5']. I think he will do well. Rather than passing onto the next round, I think it's more important that he tries his best for the now. I have no doubt that he will do just fine."
Jung Jun Ha also gave his two cents on officially trying out for 'SMTM 5' in an exclusive interview with My Daily. When the reporter questioned him whether he has harbors any resentment toward HaHa for forcing him to try out for 'SMTM 5,' Jung Jun Ha replied, "There was an article not too long ago saying that I was 'distressed,' but it was something that was just said as a joke during a press conference. But when you read the article, it really made it seem like I was distressed. At first, I was resentful toward HaHa because I've never dreamed of doing something like this, and it seemed kind of forced so I was a bit disappointed. But now I'm at ease. When will I ever get another chance to express myself through rap? I think it would feel refreshing to spit out what's on my mind with what I've prepared without making any mistakes. I think I'll feel like a weight's been lifted off my shoulders after I'm through the preliminaries. Honestly, I was still nervous before coming here but now that they day's actually here, I feel better. Everyone here looks friendly, and I feel youthful just looking at all the young kids trying so hard to fulfill their dreams."
Jung Jun Ha was also asked to comment on his possible encounter with former 'Infinity Challenge' member Gil. Jung Jun Ha answered, "There are a lot of judges besides Gil. I don't know if I'll get to meet him or not. It's also been a long time since I talked to him. I just found out yesterday that he'd be a judge. I think he'll be happy to see me here, too."
