Apparel brand 'SPAO' relayed on October 22 that they donated tens of thousands of dollars for UNICEF's charity cause 'Schools for Asia.'
This past July, 'SPAO' launched the sale of tees emblazoned with the names and jersey numbers of EXO, who are currently signed as the brand's exclusive models. 'SPAO' had pledged that they would donate 1,000 KRW (~$0.89 USD) towards 'Schools for Asia' for every T-shirt sold.
'SPAO' donated a total of 30,168,550 KRW (~$26,699 USD) composed of a portion of T-shirt sales and individual donations from the customers of their Myeongdong branch store. UNICEF Korea's secretary Seo Dae Won and Ahn Sung Soo, received the donation amount at the EXO fan signing event at 'SPAO's Hongdae location.
The funds will go towards the building of schools in countries such as Bangladesh, India, Laos, Mongolia, Nepal, among others, to aid in child development and various other endeavors related to furthering young people's education.
