It was recently reported that rapper San E was receiving some backlash after an online community post criticized his rude behavior after he was 45 minutes late to a music festival. On December 12, a representative from Brand New Music responded to the claims and said that the statements that were written on the post were groundless.
The rep stated to OSEN, "A person who claimed that he was the music director at the festival wrote a slanderous post on an online forum. To put it shortly, there is no way that he acted as if he was the boss at the event and the claims that he was cursing [at the event] are groundless."
The rep continued, "The poster wrote that San E was 45 minutes late and demanded for changes on the stage, cursing at the staff. But that doesn't make sense."
In addition to denying the claims, the rep also recalled that prior to the event, the rapper had already said he'd be late and asked for a pardon. The rep said, "It is true that the host asked to come by 11:30, but because of prior schedules, we stated that it would be impossible to be on time.
We told them that we would be able to arrive between 12 to 12:30 two days before the event. The host also responded with an 'Ok,' and even said that they would revise the performance time to match San E's schedule."
The rep continued, "We arrived at the event around 11:50 and when he was about to go on, there was water on the stage. Because San E jumps while he raps, he politely asked for the staff to clean the water on stage, thinking about the safety of the dancers. The organizers were the ones who strongly resisted and cursed."
And lastly, the rep commented, "We are taken aback because of the ridiculous, slanderous post. We tried to contact the writer multiple times, but there was no response. We are thinking about taking legal action because of the strongly offensive writing."
Meanwhile, the post criticizing San E's behavior was posted on Nate Pann under the username discodance on December 11.
