It was recently revealed that rapper Swings had applied to become a KATUSA (Korean Augmentation to the United States Army) soldier, despite being exempt from the military.

Former KATUSA soldier and fellow rapper, Verbal Jint supported Swings via Twitter saying "I wish the best for Swings's acceptance into KATUSA."

In the past, it was revealed that Swings had been exempt from the military due to being diagnosed with a psychological disorder and this news is being well-received from the public that he had voluntarily applied to become a KATUSA soldier to serve the country.

Meanwhile, in order to apply for KATUSA, you are required to score over 780 on TOEIC (English reading / speaking / writing / communication test), a score of 690 in TEPS (English proficiency test), and have a 1 to 3 ranking in physical health.
