Man caught making 28 million won ($26,000 USD) while fraudulently selling EXO, INFINITE, and BTS concert tickets

On November 4, the Seoul Guro Police Station revealed via their website that they arrested a 37-year-old man identified as Mr. Han for fraudulently selling K-Pop concert tickets.

Ever since October of 2012, Mr. Han has been making money off K-Pop fans through deceptive means. Mr. Han established fraudulent websites that sold tickets for EXO,INFINITE, BTS, among other K-Pop concerts as well as tickets for variety show 'Show Me the Money 3'. Mr. Han would have buyers purchase the tickets in advance online and upload a picture of an actually purchased ticket with the dates edited as their confirmation. As soon as he received his victims' money, he would close the website and then cut off all contact. Mr. Han would elude the police by moving to different motels and saunas across Seoul and the city of Gwangmyeong.

In the end, Mr. Han made 28 million won (approx. $26,000 USD) off 170 people. The Seoul Guro Police Station commented, "We plan to investigate whether there were more victims as Mr. Han's crime method was very calculated and detailed.
