And the next competitive reality show for YG Entertainment, 'MIX & MATCH,' begins! On September 11, the first episode aired featuring the nine trainees: Team B's B.I, Bobby, Kim Jin Hwan, Song Yoon Hyung, Kim Dong Hyuk, and Goo Joon Hee, as well as new trainees, Jung Jin Hyung, Jung Chan Woo, and Yang Hong Seok. While B.I, Bobby, and Kim Jin Hwan are already set to debut in upcoming group, iKon, the rest will need to battle it out for the remaining four spots.
The first episode showed clips from Team B's past performances, their desire to continue on as the group that they already are, and the existing camaraderie among the competitors. It also showed Team B meeting the other trainees, clips of Big Bangsharing their thoughts on the boys, YG Chief Yang Hyun Suk speaking to them, and trainee Jung Chan Woo revealing he used to be a child actor who played Lee Min Ho's younger version in 'Boys Over Flowers' and 'Heirs.'
Meanwhile, the four that will join B.I, Bobby, and Kim Jin Hwan will be determined by judges votes (30%) and viewer votes (70%). Yang Hyun Suk also stated previously that he did not have any plans for the eliminated competitors to debut under YG.
