A photo of Lee Seung Gi in a hospital uniform surfaced online, and netizens were quick to catch Lee Seung Gi's seemingly swollen eye, leaving fans concerned that it may be too soon for him to resume filming after his recent eye injury. But rest assured, his reps revealed that the photo was actually taken while Lee Seung Gi was filming a hospital scene and his swollen eye was just the power of makeup.
His agency Hook Entertainment rep explained the story behind the photo to Newsen on June 14, "The photo of Lee Seung Gi spotted at the hospital was taken while filming the scene where [Lee Seung Gi] enters a hospital after a fight scene on 'You're Surrounded'... Lee Seung Gi had a hospital scene according to the script prior to his eye injury and the photo was taken while filming the scene yesterday (13th)... Lee Seung Gi's eye only appears swollen because of the makeup used for filming."
"His condition improved a lot. The treatment went well... If it was not taken care of well at the early stage of the eye injury, it could have been dangerous, but thanks to the treatment, his condition has stabilized a lot."
Since his condition is now stable enough to resume filming, let's hope he will make a complete and speedy recovery to feel back at 100% soon!
